Degree in Chemical Engineering at the University of Padova in 1979. \nResearcher in 1983. \nAssociate Professor of Applied Chemistry in 1987. \nFull Professor of Materials Science and Technology in 2000. \nPresident of the Degree in Materials Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, from 2001 to February 2008. \nHas been member of the Scientific Council of the Consorzio Interuniversitario Veneto per le Nanotecnologie (CIVEN). \nHas been member of the Managing Board of the Associazione Italiana d’Ingegneria dei Materiali.\nMember of the Steering Committee of the Doctorate School in Materials Science and Engineering. Member of the International Board of the International Sol-Gel Society. \nMember of the Academic Senate of the University of Padova. \nMember of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Sol-Gel Science and Technology. \nMember of the Administration Council of Parco Scientifico e Tecnologico Galileo. \nChairman of the ICG (International Commission on Glass) Technical Committee TC 12 "Pharma Packaging".\nAuthor or co-author of more than 270 publications, most in peer-reviewed Journals. Co-editor and chapter author of the book "Sol-Gel Nanocomposites", in the Series Advances in Sol-Gel Derived Materials and Technologies edited by Springer.\nHI 30.\n\nAwards\nAwarded in 1992 with the "Professor Vittorio Gottardi Memorial Prize" by the International Commission on Glass in recognition of his outstanding individual accomplishments in the field of glass.
