Federico Moro è Professore Associato di Elettrotecnica presso il Dipartimento di Ingegneria Industriale dell'Università di Padova. Ha conseguito la Laurea in Ingegneria Elettrica (2003), il Dottorato di Ricerca in Bioelettromagnetismo e Compatibilità Elettromagnetica (2007) e la Laurea in Matematica (2012) presso lo stesso ateneo. È abilitato alla professione di Ingegnere dal 2003. Ha conseguito l'Abilitazione Scientifica Nazionale a Professore Ordinario (09/E1-Elettrotecnica) nel 2021. Dal 2022 è stato nominato Senior Member dal Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). È stato Visiting Researcher presso il Dipartimento di Fisica della Swansea University, Galles (UK), nel 2005, e Visiting Professor presso il G2ELab, Grenoble, nel 2020. È stato Assegnista di Ricerca presso il Dipartimento di Ingegneria Elettrica dell'Università di Padova dal 2007 al 2010 e Ricercatore Universitario di Elettrotecnica dal 2010 al 2020 presso il Dipartimento di Ingegneria Industriale (DII) dello stesso ateneo.

Dal 2005 svolge attività didattica in corsi di Elettrotecnica in vari CCS di Ingegneria. Dal 2015 è membro del Collegio di Dottorato in Industrial Engineering. Dal 2020 al 2025 è stato rappresentante dell'area Elettrica nel Consiglio Direttivo e dal 2025 è referente del curriculum Electrical Engineering dello stesso dottorato. Dal 2021 al 2025 è stato rappresentante del DII nella Commissione Orientamento e Tutorato della Scuola di Ingegneria e, dal 2022 al 2025, è stato rappresentante della stessa in commissione di Ateneo.

I suoi interessi di ricerca riguardano principalmente la modellistica multiphysics, l'elettromagnetismo computazionale, la compatibilità elettromagnetica, l'energy harvesting e l'accumulo energetico. È autore o coautore di oltre 100 lavori su riviste internazionali ed atti di convegni.
